Crash Bandicooth: The Wrath of Coretex is the sixth installment of the series Crash Bandicooth. The game is based on Crunch Bandicooth, who is genetically modified by Doctor Neo Cortex who is the antagonist of the game. The Doctor s helped by the group of destructive masked characters known as The Elements. Crash Bandicooth and his Sister Coco must find some specific crystals which puts The Elements to hibernate and they can stop Doctor Neo Cortex.
The players are given Four Lives at the start of the game. The players must gather 25 crystals to defeat the doctor and his new weapon Crunch Bandicooth. The life is lost when the player gets struck by the enemies or takes other type of damage. The lives can be earned by collecting 100 Wumpa Fruits or from a specific crate. The player must run through different obstacles to complete the level and reach another destination.
